ExportToUsa.com.cn attended the 15th SIAL China Show in Shanghai on May 13-15. Many food suppliers gathered together in Shanghai, looking for opportunities. ExportToUsa.com.cn spoke with many food suppliers regarding various problems that might occur if they want to export to the United States, and answered questions accordingly.
According to the conversations with clients, Shelly Li, Regulatory Specialist of FDAImports.com and ExportToUsa.com.cn determined that many Chinese companies are worrying about FDA detentions and testing. These may cause very high testing fees, and the U.S. importer will have to wait for the goods to be released – which might take several months. Worse, if the goods fail a test and are refused (for example, if a test demonstrates that the product contains illegal pesticide residues, or was produced in a facility with SID problems), FDA will not let the shipments go. Worst of all, FDA might place the company on FDA Import Alert.
We also learned from the show that many companies are concerned about FDA inspection. They don’t know what to do to prepare for the inspection, or how to respond to FDA’s 483. However, refusing an inspection will cause FDA to put the company on Import Alert 99-32.
However, all these problems can be avoided. The team at FDAImports.com and ExportToUsa.com.cn successfully assists companies exporting FDA-regulated products into the United States. We help companies comply with all FDA rules and regulations – for example, labeling requirements, SID application, FDA inspections, and responding to FDA’s 483.
