Rick D. Quinn, Principal of FDAImports.com, will be attending the India International Seafood Show, January 10-12, 2014, in Chennai, India, along with Mr. Shanmugam Jayakumar, FDAImports.com’s India Country Director, will be exhibiting at the show for the first time this year. “We are very excited to be a part of this event,” said Mr. Quinn. “India’s seafood exports have grown significantly in the last few years, and we look forward to the opportunity to meet with processors and exporters and work with them to bring their products to the USA.”
While at the show, Mr. Quinn will speak as part of the trade sessions, on “Successfully Importing Seafood Into the United States: Understanding Compliance and Contemporary Enforcement Trends.” An international business lawyer, Mr. Quinn primarily represents firms engaged in commercial transactions implicating products regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, at the interface of U.S. FDA and U.S. Customs regulations. His presentation will provide an introduction to FDA and U.S. Customs compliance, HACCP regulations, and some of the implications of the Food Safety Modernization Act for seafood processors and exporters.
