Ben England, Founder and CEO of Maryland-based international FDA consulting firm FDAImports.com, will be attending and presenting at IFEX Philippines 2013, a premier international sourcing hub for the finest ethnic Asian food, ingredients, and raw materials. The show will be held at the SMX Convention Center, in Metro Manila, Philippines, from May 16 – 19. Mr. England will be offering three presentations discussing the ins and outs of USDA, FDA, and US Customs compliance.
Two of Mr. England’s presentations are directed at exporters, manufacturers and other industry members: the first concerning food and beverage exports, and the second addressing alternative medicine and dietary supplement exports. In these presentations, Mr. England will rely upon 17 years of experience as a former FDA official and attorney and 10 years in private practice. He will discuss U.S. regulations and agencies, the effect of recent changes in food safety law (Food Safety Modernization Act), and practical business solutions to help Philippine companies get in and stay in the U.S. market.
Mr. England’s third presentation is for food, drug, cosmetic and dietary supplement regulators in the Philippines. In it, Mr. England will provide unique insight, garnered from his 17 years as an FDA official, into how the U.S. governs and controls highly regulated consumer products imported into the USA. Among many other topics, Mr. England will discuss the interaction between agencies in creating and enforcing regulations.
