Feb 21, 2025 | Uncategorized

FDAImports is excited to participate in the 2025 Seafood Expo North America in Boston, March 16th-18th.

Ben England, our Founder and CEO, is going to speak on “Customs and FDA Enforcement: Challenges for Imports in 2025.” Ben’s presentation is March 16th, 2025, at 3:15 PM, Room 153CB.

The session will explore the latest trends in FDA’s and Customs’ regulation of seafood processors, importers, and imported seafood shipments. Learn more about CBP’s targeting of foreign seafood industry in their Forced Labor investigations and Withhold Release Orders. And hear what to expect in 2025 related to FDA enforcement and possible tariffs.

The session will also address FDA’s recent major change in guidance regarding sampling/testing imported seafood subject to the Agency’s Import Alerts. Learn what industry can do to prevent this regulatory guidance from resulting in more seafood refusals without achieving more public health or food safety.

As always, the FDAImports team is ready to answer your questions about getting products released, Import Alerts, Prop 65 violations, managing Customs seizures, tariffs and more.
